Murder on the Orient Express Gala Night at the Electric Cinema, Birmingham. Friday 3rd November.

For all those Agatha Christie enthusiasts out there, we have a treat to take your mind off the onset of winter. We will will be spinning some 1930s and 1940s vinyl at this lavish event laid on by The Electric Cinema in Birmingham to coincide with the release of Kenneth Branagh's reinvention of Murder on the Orient Express.

On Friday 3rd November, your favourite stompers will be setting the atmosphere from 8 pm before the screening at 9 pm after which we will continue to please your ears during a lavish after party. As if that wasn't appetising enough, your ticket covers a free glass of fizz upon entry and casino games for those feeling extra risky!

You can find more information on the film and how to book through The Electric Cinema's website here: https://www.theelectric.co.uk/programme.php?film=1923

Sugarfoot Stomp at Symphony Hall, Birmingham August 27th.

Firstly, let me apologise for not posting in a lonnnnnnnnng time. This is in no part due to inactivity within the Sugarfoot camp but rather my relying on Twitter to get the news out there and forgoing this blog.

This news, however, is something I had to say in more than 240 characters, which is that we will be providing music at the Ever-After Vintage Dance Spectacular at the Symphony Hall on the bank holiday Sunday, August 27th. We are joining forces with the Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra: www.jimwynnswing.co.uk while The Swing Era will be leading the dancing: www.theswingera.co.uk. This is all incredibly exciting and we are all looking forward to it very much.

More info on how to book can be found here: https://www.thsh.co.uk/event/ever-after-vintage-dance-spectacular#tab0=details

Love as always,

Doris xxx
